Description: Here is a striking mid-century platter by Southern Potteries for their Blue Ridge line. It’s truly rare and lovely with clean well-executed hand painted detail on the apple, pear, and peach in the center on white surrounded by a band of brushstrokes in yellow-gold and caramel-brown. The platter is an oval shape measuring 13 5/8” x 11 ½” with 1 ¼” high sides. The center circle is recessed a bit to form easy-grasp sides. The condition is outstanding with no chips, cracks, or crazing. Remarkably there are very few and very light utensil marks. There are a couple of tiny common glaze bubble pops, see last photo, that are not at all distracting. There is no backstamp yet certainly Blue Ridge. Very close to "County Fruit" and "Gingham Fruit" patterns Thanks for looking.
