Once they united in solidarity within the Black Karate Federation, they were able as a united force to force the system to change to one with more intrinsic fairness. Then they became one of the very best fighting teams and individuals ever witnessed in the martial arts. Civil rights aren't given, they must be demanded! As a bonus, the excellent writer Nijel Binns offers a really unique and insightful martial arts and spiritual history to provide an even deeper context and fresh perspective of the influence the African Diaspora has had on martial arts throughout the ages.
