Description: Beautiful Antique Swiss Zenith, Vail Watch Co. Maritime Ship Chronometer Clock. Please read for your convenience I am offering this fine antique 1900s Zenith Nautical Maritime Ship Chronometer Watch Clock. This watch has a wind indicator under the 12hr mark, and a second hand complication at 6hr mark. This measures about 5" square and stands about 4-1/2" tall closed. We believe this aesthetic watch to be from the early 1900s. The Vail Watch Co. was found in Chicago during the 1890s. They upgraded Zenith movements for use as torpedo boat watches; also known as deck watches. All parts are inclusive and this clock runs. The stunning dial is marked "Zenith" and "Chronometer". The dial appears to be in great condition. There is some patina on the watch and the surrounding brass. The patina only enhances the character of this 120+year-old piece. Inside this watch is marked "Zenith", "Swiss", and "Vail Watch Co. U.S.A". The serial number is "200002". This is click has 6 jewels. It says 8days, and 3ADJ: Please see pictures for details. This prepossessing maritime instrument is in great condition. The box was well built and appears very solid for its age.All the pieces on the watch and box appear to be original to this art piece.
