Description: Up for sale is from Mattel, 2011 National Barbie Convention, Ft Lauderdale, Fla. "IN THE SWIM BARBIE & KEN DOLL GIFT SET", with no more than 1,100 made worldwide. Barbie & Ken Dolls were the original California couple! Barbie comes wearing the retro-inspired blue mallet swimsuit, a plastic straw hat with scarf, faux pearl earrings, sunglasses and tan plastic wedgies with metallic golden uppers. Has a blonde ponytail with curly bangs, molded eyelashes, straight arms and legs. Also comes with her wrist tag and a black round plastic base doll stand with "Barbie" embossed on it. Next is Ken doll, wearing red swim trunks, topped by a striped beach jacket and red plastic straps cork sandals. Has black molded hair and blue eyes. He also comes with his wrist tag and a black plastic round base doll stand with "Ken" embossed on it. New in Gift Set box with COA and a Reproduction Fashion Booklet from that time period. Box is not sealed and has a clear plastic removable view window insert that we removed to take photos without a glare. Dolls and booklet have never been removed from and still attached to cardboard background. For Ages 14+.
