PACKAGING: I sometimes get questions about why I charge a bit more money for shipping, and the answer really shows up at your door. I buy good boxes for shipping, bubble-wrap everything, secure the book within the box so that it does not move around during shipping, and really take care in making sure it is done right. All of that costs a few bucks extra, in addition to the cheaper shipping options. I try to keep things as cheap as I can, but that is why the costs are a little higher, and will continue to be so. I am pricing this book based on the fact that it is a 1st Edition & 1st Printing, because it is in great shape overall particularly considering it was released 14 years ago now (Published in 2008), because it is the 20th book in a larger saga of books written by Clive Cussler with Dirk Cussler (The Dirk Pitt Adventures) making it valuable to collectors of that series, & lastly because people are hanging onto their early edition/printed books these days, making these early printings all the more challenging to find in any kind of good condition, let alone the condition this one is in. All said and done, this book would be a really nice piece to have in any 1st edition/printing Action-Adventure/Thriller collection, or it would also be a real gem to a Clive Cussler collector without this one already in their library.
