Description: Antique Victorian era Photo Album - Velvet with Photos Wisconsin. The photos are from Wisconsin and S. Dakota and taken in various places including Mayville, Milwaukee, Fond du lac, Aupun, Stevens Point, Groton and Bristol, the Mayville, area. There are 29 photos mostly cabinet card portraits. There is one nice photo of the schoolhouse. The sign is hard to read but pretty sure it’s from Lomira Wisconsin. There is no identification of the subjects on the photos that I could find. The name of Miss Louise C. Eggert is included on a card in the album. There is an inscription on the inside from 1973 that the album was given to “Mr. G”. The album was purchased in Louisiana at the estate sale of “Mr. G” and as far as I know he was not related to the subjects in the photo. The photos appear to be in good condition. The photo album has some condition issues including a missing clasp and has separated from the binding.
