Description: Offering an antique Disston D-8 Skew back blade hand saw with a 13/16" "H. Disston and Sons PHILADA " medallion that dates this saw to 1896-1917. It is being sold in as-found condition. Features: Length: 29 inches long total, 26" x 6" Skew back blade TPI: 9Rivets: 5 Handle: hardwood let-in handle The saw is in good condition, though there seems to be a small break off the top horn of the handle. It would be a great saw to restore. According to the Disstonian Institute website, Disston used this style 13/16" PHILADA medallion between 1896-1917 (see last few pictures for more info). Based on the attached information, it looks to be a D-8 saw, and included are pictures of a typical D-8 from that era. These are my findings, but please do your own research to confirm.
