Description: This Antique Civil War Era Daguerreotype Tintype of 2 Women in Tooled Floral Case is in very good condition. Please note small damage areas on the case - upper left side of front has chip; 2 melt marks on the top front; 1/2" chip on right side of front; lower left corner chipped on front - creates a small hole; small chip on lower back center. The image is a portrait of two women. Both wear rings on their left index fingers. The one of the left wears what may be a wedding dress and they both wear high collared fancy blouses. Are they sisters, friends, or lovers? You decide. The gold toned frame is elaborate and is cushioned by the padded velvet insert on the interior front cover. The hinges work well. This case does not lock shut - it closes flush but there is not a lock on the clasp. Please look at the photos carefully as they are the most important part of the description. Please see my other listings - I’m happy to combine shipping. It will be well wrapped and sent with tracking from a smoke-free home.
