Description: Christmas glass figural hand painted 40 Watt Edison light bulb was made in Japan in the 1920s to early 1930s. Father Christmas is molded glass and on his front he is adorned with toys (a rocking horse, drum, pull toy, sailboat, trumpet, dolly, and teddy bear). Saint Nicholas or Father Frost is wrapped in a long reddish colored coat and holds a green feathered tree. The front of this bulb is in very good condition whereas the back has lost some of the coloring - distinctly shown in the close-up pictures both lit and unlit. The base is in excellent condition and very colorful, adding to the beauty of this rare light. Light is operational and cord is in very good condition. Santa figural bulb measures approximately 3.5" wide by 8.5" high and the cord is 9 feet long. The base measures 4 3/8" W and 1.25" high.
