Description: Antique Doulton Lambeth Faience floral painted single handle vase by a listed but unidentified artist and dating from around 1880. The tall and elegantly shaped vase stands a hair under 11” tall and 5.5” wide. The vase is hand painted with large flowering blooms on leafy stems painted in tones of yellow, brown and green against an olive sand background. PLEASE NOTE: There is one chip to the rim which is primarily seen from the side and underside. It resides directly across from the handle. Multiple pics show this area. There are not any other areas of damage. The jug has both impressed marks and printed Doulton Lambeth Faience marks to the base and is numbered 2852 which I initially thought may have been the date of 1852. There are various artist marks, some of which are recorded as unidentified. A stunning and finely painted example nonetheless.
