Antique 1500W/600V LIGHT BULB, BASE, THICK GLASS LENS & PARTS, PATD 12-24-12

Description: Hi Collectors. I am not one of you, so I will do my best to cover objects I know nothing about... bear with me. The bulb is about 8" tall. The base of the bulb is about 1.5" across (see photo). Toward the bottom inside one side it's been handwritten "96". On the other side, toward bottom it has "P1A5" or "PIA5" (not sure if it's a letter I or number 1). In a continuity test it shows 1 ohm resistance (see photo). Written on the screw in base the bulb fits in it has "1500W/600V". The other side of the base looks like itsays "BENJAMIN... PATD 12-24-12". It looks like a porcelain base. It has the metal screw in stuff inside &bulb goes in & out fine. The base is about 2 1/2" across at widest top part, and stands about 2 1/2" tall. Ithas old wire with it. The lens is flat on opposite sides at the edge, and measures about 7 1/4" across. The other areas are rounded& they're about 8" across. This lens is about 1" thick, half the old mercury? paint is gone. There's also an on/off switch and I'm guessing at some of what it says. "H & H 225" or "M & H"? "PAT NOV 24 02"?There's a 2nd date of "JAN 26-07" or maybe "JAN 26-97"? There are also parts that go with the setup, as seen in photos. Everything will be in the box. I put somephotos out on facebook several months ago & someone said they think it's a spotlight. I don't know muchmore than that.
