Description: Here, from the far off year of 1971 comes a genuine, bona fide classic. This is J.E. Cirlot's "A Dictionary of Symbols." This is the second edition, updating and extensively revising the first 1962 edition. It number to 419 pages and includes not one but two illustrated sections. This book is extremely clean. No weird bending or wear to speak of. It appears to have been read by someone of letters; there is minor writing in the margins as shown. But its dust jacket is encased in Mylar and just about as clean as you will find, with scant if any spine fading and no chips or tears apparent. I'd estimate this dust jacket went straight into Mylar in 1971 and, after someone read it as part of earning a Master's or Doctorate, it likely lived 50 years on a shelf. This book will be very securely shipped. Thanks for looking!
