This neoclassical altar is from Belgium and it dates to the mid-1900's. The elegant set of Corinthian columns supports a solid oak platform with its embedded relic stone. We do not have provenance or any additional information concerning the sealed relic stone. This altar is in very good antique condition, rock sold and strong. Note that the top shows some irregular fading, most likely from partial light/sunlight exposure (see photos). There are also minor chips and scratches as would be expected on a 50+ year old piece (see photos). Dimensions: 79" long, 43" wide and 38" high.
