Description: Offered is this small antique covered creamer or syrup pitcher with attached undertray. The piece was made by the Apollo Silver Co. of New York, in business from about 1885 to 1899, when the company became Bernard Rice's Sons. The piece is also marked "quadruple plate" and "1641", probably a pattern or item number. Although not marked with any specific hotel name, this looks like a piece that may have been used in a hotel restaurant. The piece is approx. 4" high and about 4 1/4" across the undertray. Some of the original plating remains but much has worn off. The finial is slightly crooked due to a small dent in the lid. The pin for the hinge is missing; someone has inserted a small piece of copper wire, allowing the lid to open and close, but another pin could probably be found for a proper fix.
