On the obverse of the 2018 Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coin is the design of the Great Organ found inside the Musikverein. This is the concert hall of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, which is located within the Innere Stad borough of Vienna, the national capital of the country. The reverse of the 2018 1 oz Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coin features a collection of various musical instruments, each one used by the members of the orchestra. In total, there are nine instruments include a central cello, four violins, a flute, harp, bassoon, and horn.
