Description: This listing is for two woodworking patterns from Ruth Wyeth Spears from the 1940s. One is a really wonderfully designed doll house with removable toy shelves on the front. The shelves fit onto the doll house with hooks, and are easy to remove to get to the doll house. The doll house pattern is number 273. It includes actual size line designs for all doors, windows, fireplace and other details that are ready to color and include. The second pattern, number 274 is for doll house furniture scaled to fit this doll's house. The furniture is all made from odds and ends - scrap lumber, blocks and more. The pattern is actual sized for all the shaped pieces for living room, dining room, bed room and nursery, all in scale. The two patterns are perfect together, to make a really adorable doll house set for a vintage doll's house and furnishings. It's a scarce pattern, especially for both these pieces together, both uncut and unused. In the 1940s (which were war years through 1945) raw materials were scarce, as was money. So making a set like this was a much better choice than trying to buy one. The finished product was much better, and much cuter. Just add doll!! (which could be a sock doll, or other homemade folk art doll.) Ruth Wyeth Spears was a premier designer of wood crafting patterns, as well as other homecrafts such as rug making. She was so creative, so her patterns and pieces always sold really well.
