Description: Vintage Scalamandre drapes with all the exuberant 80’s galore, when chintz was hot hot hot—can we say Mario Buatta?! Reclaimed from a Connecticut estate sometime before COVID. These were listed and about to be dropped off in Manhattan a day before the lockdown began—needless to say it didn’t happen. The drapes have since been stored in an attic. Lively and stylized florals against a cheery lemony yellow background. Dark brick red trim around inner edges. Included are 2 pairs—4 panels total. Each panel measures: 18” rushed top 72” bottom stretched flat 94” length approximately Condition: Generally clean, with mild discoloration in the folds of the panels. Sun fading to brick red edging (I’d remedy it with fabric paint)—please refer to photos. Soft cotton backing with fleece interlining. Some storage odor that can perhaps be remedied by some sunlight and steam cleaning. The last couple of pictures show another drape (not included in this listing) of the same pattern of enormous size at 108” on top and 248” on bottom, at about the same length as the smaller drapes. And reversible with chintz fabric on both sides and fleece interlining. There’s a pair of these monstrosities. That’s a LOT of extra fabric. The reason I’m not listing these is because of the weight. There’re also matching valences affixed on wood that I’m also not listing. However, if you have any interest in the aforesaid un-listed items please let me know. Thank for looking!
