Description: We're offering 2 copies of the long out-of-print Breakthrough Poetry: Lollipops - Animals; compiled by Brian Thompson - appears to be a supplement to an early-intermediate elementary level reading program that used poetry. IOW, a great tool for at-home or in-school learning. Format is that of a large booklet; approx. 9 1/2 x 7", with a cardstock cover. 16 pages. Each page is illustrated, in classic early '70s style, by artists including Peter Bailey, Quentin Blake, & Barry Wilkinson. The poems range from the very simple ("Higglety pigglety pop") to a beautifully illustrated poem about cats by V. Sackville-West. Condition of these 2 copies varies a bit - while both have minimal library identifiers (sticker on the front cover; light rubber stampings inside the cover & to the 1st page); one is in very good condition, with moderate overall wear, while the other has 2 noted instances of light marking, on 2 different pages, & more wear. Both are structurally sound & ready for use as a teaching aid, or for the illustrations :) We ship most orders that come in by 12 pm PST same day. {ndr/8//mlr//wd/bx}
