Description: Here is a wonderful copy of This Quiet Dust And Other Writings by William Styron. This is a first edition first printing as shown on the copyright page published by Random House in 1982. This copy is wonderful and would be considered in much better condition if it wasn’t for a rather large closed tear in the jacket and a section of the lower front board with soiling. The binding is square, tight, and the text is immaculate throughout. The black cloth boards are extremely clean but for a section at the bottom of the front board which is soiled as shown. The spine is spotless and the gold and copper gilt lettering on it is pristine in condition. The author’s facsimile signature in copper gilt on the front board is pristine as well. The lower spine end has some “rounding” and the top spine end is excellent. All four corners are in excellent condition as well and there is some wear along the bottom edges from shelving. The dust jacket is complete and has the original price present on the front flap. The aforementioned tear is to the bottom rear panel as shown in the photos provided. There is light wear at the spine ends and the corners but nothing overwhelming. Placed in a Mylar protector and this copy will present extremely well however I am fresh out.
