This adorable bee brooch is decorated with Americana colors of red, white and blue on lower body and wings with clear crystal rhinestones on the upper body and green rhinestone eyes. The brooch is heavily gold plated and is marked with the Joan Rivers trademark stamp. Measures 1 1/8" long and 1 1/4" wide. This nice brooch is in excellent condition with no noted flaws. The hinge is tight and the catch opens and closes securely. Background: Joan Rivers will always be known first as a comedienne, however, she was also an Internationally recognized celebrity, actress, best selling author, a radio talk show host, fashion commentator and so much more. She began designing her jewelry collection in the early 1990's during the early days of QVC (the television shopping channel) and began selling her jewelry collection on this venue quickly becoming one of their best selling lines. People loved watching her promote her items with the dramatic flair she had for everything she did and for the quality of her products and it has become her jewelry line for which she will probably be most remembered.
