This Live Steam Engine is in good to very good condition considering its age, around 50 years old.It has been air tested (video) and, short of a 50 years old dried up gasket, should not give much trouble to operate on steam.It is 100% complete, including the original box that is only in fair condition. The older Wilesco boxes were made of corrugated material that did a good protective job but didn't age very well. The engine is 100% original but you might want to know that the little condensation tray was missing and replaced by a newer version (still a Wilesco brand parts).The toy is in sound mechanical condition.It probably can use a good cleaning and I must report a bit of surface rust, especially on the boiler housing vents (photos). It should brush away easily. So, this is a nice engine that is very gift-able.You will need some solid fuel pellets (anywhere camping supplies are sold) and using solely distilled water is very strongly recommended.Here you go... you know as much as I do.
