1968 Wyler Vietnam Navigator Sterile with Box 4 NOS Bands

Description: For your consideration is a 1968 Wyler Navigator with scarce black Military dial and Arabic markers. The dial is signed Wyler, and is pristine with original lume on the hands and markers. The crown is also signed. This watch was serviced by Mark Sirianni (Watch Doctor) of Kane, Pennsylvania in May of 2020. The thin, closed-back case has been polished, and is in excellent condition with no obvious signs of wear. The original acryllic crystal is also in good condition with faint scratches which can be buffed-out. The movement is a 17 jewel Swiss ETA 1260, utilizing Wyler’s famous Incabloc mainspring but without second hand hacking. These were sold as post exchange or PX watches, and were sometimes chosen as a field or special ops watch when the dial was sterilized, as it exhibited outstanding lume visibility, readability, shock resistency, and a waterproof case. The case is breached only through the crystal as the back is solid stainless steel. Black Navigators without model designation are quite uncommon, upping the likelihood of military service. These could be worn with issued one-piece nylon straps or rubber straps if preferred. This is a stunning Vietnam era watch that would be an excellent addition to any military watch enthusiast. I am including 2 base exchange rubber or tropical watchbands along with the three signed Wyler bands described below. This watch is fitted with a period NOS Kresler scissor band, but included are 3 NOS Wyler leather bands, one being a later, early 1970’s waterproof Korfam band. All have signed Wyler buckles and each set is signed on the reverse. This Wyler Navigator comes complete with the correct period presentation box in beautiful condition. The watch is performing well with good reserve currently for its age, but a service is recommended by the new owner. This will all be packaged carefully and thoughtfully to arrive in the condition pictured. The watch box will be packaged empty to preserve the interior lining and flocking. CONUS only.
