Description: This beautiful turquoise Princess telephone by Western Electric came with a slogan back in 1960: "It's little. It's lovely. It lights." You are getting an outstanding phone with this one. While practically every colored phone yellowed or browned out over the decades, this little Princess maintains its original color and will knock your eyes out. It received a brand new coiled handset cord and a brand new water-clear finger wheel during my prep. I added a transformer to make this little jewel light up for you, as it did 24 years ago. Lift the handset and it goes full bright so you can dial in the dark. While on hook, you may leave it as a dim night light, or move the switch on the back side to turn the light off. The line cord did change color during the decades, but the plastics did not. I have this all set up for you so that it's truly plug-n-play right out of the box. In 1960 Western Electric was still in the process of developing an internal ringer for later models, so this one correctly does not have an internal ringer and will be used as an extension phone rather than your main phone. I do have auxiliary ringers for sale, should you require one. This little beauty dials out correctly, and the sound transmission both directions is superb. It dials out 100% on my VOIP line and on traditional copper landlines. But do check with your phone company to ensure that it supports rotary dialing. People get the color turquoise confused all the time - even members of our phone clubs. So the last picture posted in this auction shows a comparison of the colors. This phone is Western Electric's color #64 turquoise, as opposed to their aqua blue color #62. Please add USPS Ground Advantage shipping. Thanks! -Eddie
