I've read on the internet that these were the first quads ever made, although I don't know if this is true. This book is the 1959 First edition. It measures 8-1/2" wide x 11-1/2" tall x 3 1/4 thick"; It has 61 red index tabs for easy reference; Four ribbon markers - one for each book! As can be seen in my photos, it is covered with a beautiful dark blue top grain cowhide leather with gilt lettering on spine and cover and an oval with the picture of Angel Moroni. The page edges are gold gilt and thanks to the overlapping cover, they look just as good as they ever did! I'm not sure of the font size, but it is a larger than normal for easy reading. It is profusely Illustrated with Color Photos throughout including a temple section and a prophet section; and has a lengthy Family History Section with Genealogical fill-ins, And lots more! Condition:Excellent 1st Edition Over-Sized (1959) Leather Bound Family Heirloom book! NO MARKS! The binding is tight and all pages within are bright white with no writing, underlining, high-lighting, rips, tears, bends, or folds. The covers look incredible - the best copy I have ever see - absolutely NO LEATHER ROT at all, but there is a name engraved on the front cover, as you can see in my photos.
