Description: Gorgeous original mid 1950’s suit jacket by Lilli Ann Of San Francisco. Rich midnight blue silk and wool blend fabric (Import Fabric of France) with ivory top stitching. Classic New Look silhouette with tailored waist and flared hips. Padded shoulders. “Airplane” pointed collar lapels and front pocket detailing. Pointed cuffs. Single breasted 4 button front closure. An additional button hole under each side of the collar (perhaps there was a tie?) Purplish navy rayon lining. All original tags. Very similar to a 1955 ad. Impeccable signature Lilli Ann tailoring and pattern matching. ——————————————————————————————- Size: in my opinion will fit US size 2/4 possibly 6 Small best. Please go by the detailed measurements below: Bust: 34” Waist: 26.5” Hips: 36” 14” across the upper back shoulder seam to shoulder seam 24” long down the back from nape of the neck to hem Sleeves: 22” from shoulder seam to cuff edge ———————————————————————————————————————————- CONDITION: wonderful for a 70 year old vintage piece: no moth damage, holes or fading to the main fabric. The only flaws are small breaks and wear in ivory stitching in inner cuffs/cuff edges and buttons (second button from last). Not very noticeable due to mostly being on the inside and to the overall busy pattern as you can tell from the photos. Purple fading in underarm lining.
