It also has a quick identifying feature with the sewing surface or bed extension that flips up on the left side (see pics). Singer proudly celebrated its centenary in 1951 by giving all machines commissioned for that year a special COMMEMORATIVE BADGE 1851-1951 (which this machine has, see pics).
