Description: Really cute 1940s Jantzen two-piece swimsuit in a black stretchy ribbed cotton. The halter top is unlined and ties behind the neck. There were probably hooks or some other closure on the ends of the back straps at one time. The bottoms are in "boy shorts" style, are unlined and have a drawstring on either side of the waist. The front panels of fabric on both pieces show the ribbing on a diagonal. The iconic diver logo is embroidered on the bottom of the left hip. The Jantzen label is in the bottoms on the front at the waist. Size tag reads 32. The set is in good condition. The black color is faded to a dark gray but there are no holes and the fabric is still stretchy. Measurements TOP Bust - originally 32" measured from back strap to back strap.
