It is a "Reichsbanknote" for “Ein Hundert” or 100 Marks, dated April 10, 1910. This design was issued again between 1918 and 1922 but had green serial numbers and seals, after the horror that was World War I ended. In May of 1910 Kaiser Wilhelm II along with other European Royalty gathered in London for the funeral of King Edward VII. Wilhelm was the eldest grandchild of Queen Victoria, nephew to Edward VII and first cousin of the new King George V. Wilhelm wanted to have “Westminster Hall” closed while he laid a wreath, but the police advised that there might be disorder if that happened, so the Emperor was taken in through another entrance while the public continued to file past.
