Description: For sale is a very fine example of the hard to find cast iron "The Trunk Registering Savings Bank," patented in 1888 and manufactured by H & H Manufacturing. The bank measures approximately 4 1/4" high x 5" wide, x 2 3/4" deep and is in good condition: it appears to have all of its original parts and retains its original nickel finish. It has not been tested but it seems that the pull lever is not connected to registering wheel: we believe that there would originally have been a rubber band or spring connecting them. As with any piece this old, there is playwear, some isolated spots of disoloration, and rubs to the finish. Nonetheless, the bank is hard to find in this condition and it displays wonderfully. Operation is not guaranteed, likely not
