Description: This large fold-out brochure/catalog is the size of a small newspaper. First photo shows a quarter to the bottom right for scale. There are some issues with the condition as you can see. Look at the photos where it's starting to get brittle around the folds. Otherwise, great shape considering the fact that it's around 135 years old. The Grand Rapids School Furniture Co. merged with eighteen other school, church, and seating manufacturers in 1899 to form the American School Furniture Company, headquartered in New York. The name changed to American Seating Company in 1906, and offices moved to Chicago. In 1931 offices moved to Grand Rapids. Photos tell the story! Check out my other auctions for amazing ephemera.
